Press brake tooling part number finder

Three ways in: pick your machine make, pick your tooling brand, or type the catalogue number stamped on the tool. Where a manufacturer publishes a numbering rule we decode it here; where it does not, we cross reference the number manually rather than guess.

Find by press brake brand

Most buyers search by the machine they own. Selecting the make opens the replacement page for that machine, with the interface it is commonly supplied with.

Find your press brake brand

Selecting a make opens its replacement tooling page, which lists the interface that make is commonly supplied with and what to measure before ordering.

Find by tooling brand

If you already own tooling from a known brand, the catalogue number on the tool is the fastest route to a replacement.

Find your tooling brand

Selecting a brand opens its replacement page, which explains how that catalogue number is structured and what to send us.

Decode a catalogue number

Only two press brake tooling systems publish a numbering rule openly: Mate, in its press brake catalogue, and Wilson for its clamping range. Those two are decoded here. Every other system is cross referenced manually, because guessing at what the digits mean is how mis-ordered tools happen.

Catalogue number decoder

Only systems whose manufacturer publishes a decoding rule can be decoded here. Everything else is cross referenced manually against the catalogue.

What the published rules actually say

The two rules below are the ones the manufacturers publish themselves. Everything else on the market is inference, and inference is not good enough to order tooling against.

Officially published numbering rules
SystemRule as publishedWhat it covers
Mate press brake toolingNumeric part identifies the profile; letter part identifies the length. S standard, F segmented, T 300 mm, D 200 mm, C 100 mm; a trailing X indicates a safety button.Tool profile and length only. Dimensions are read from the catalogue, not from the number.
Wilson clampingPart number building key: holder type, tool style, mount style, actuation, series, generation and adjustment each have a code position.Clamping products. The catalogue shows the key alongside the product tables.
WilaNo publicly published decoding rule.Identification is done by matching the number against the catalogue.
Wilson Wila styleNo publicly published decoding rule for the eight digit number.Length variants are written as a suffix, for example a 550X sectionalised set.
If your system is not decoded here, that is deliberate. Send the number with a photograph of the tool and a ruler shot of the tang, and we will cross reference it against the catalogue rather than guess.
Manufacturer names and catalogue numbers on this page are used only to identify the tooling system a customer already owns, so that a compatible tool can be selected. This site is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by any of the manufacturers named. Tools described as compatible are aftermarket equivalents made to fit the named system; they are not genuine parts from the original manufacturer.
